This one day intensive training helps you to understand and work effectively in the new landscape. You will look at the distribution methods, terminology and new job roles in this sector, as well as the assets needed and their impact on production timelines. This course is subsidised by the Skillset TV Freelance Fund for freelance production staff working in the television industry.
You will examine new iterative production management methodologies that can help you bring broadcast projects in on budget and to schedule.
Look at examples of data mashups; breaking down the essential data that is required to source these Interactive services.
Participants will look at iterative models of TV/Radio Production including Agile. Compile the elements of an integrated linear broadcast and interactive production timeline

TUTOR: Tim Furby: Tim is a digital media professional with 10 years experience of developing and implementing large digital production strategies for BBC and other agencies. This includes line management, end to end production of interactive content, functionality and user experience for some of the most highly valued and widely used BBC online services.

Social Media can be a key part of your communications strategy, yet the approach often taken is to push information at our audience. Our two day course will show you how to listen to your audience, personally engage with them and let them get social about you. You will be taught by Chris Thorpe, Media Consultant for MYSpace, The Guardian and founder of Jaggeree, a top social media consultancy.
Internet Film Making
Cost: £450 (conc. £400)
Do you need to shoot footage specifically for the internet distribution? This short course covers the script to online process of shooting, editing and uploading of video for viewing on the internet. With so much of today’s content being broadcast on the internet, this is a one stop shop for learning how to be your own internet distributor.
We will cover basics and touch upon the more advanced features of shooting on PD170 DV CAM cameras, and editing on Final Cut Pro and outputting and uploading for internet broadcast.
Multi Platform Storytelling Course for TV Screenwriters
4 day Course over two weeks,

We are applying for further funding to run this course in Sept 2008.
A new course for TV screenwriters to produce multiplatform narratives and characters. Writers develop on-line stories, set up social networking accounts, publish material to the web and add interactive elements to narrative. The aim is to ensure writers can take an active role in the interactive production process.
